What you need: Biscuit mix, cinnamon sugar in bowls, muffin pan, paper
cupcake liners.
What you do: Make the biscuit mix according to the recipe, or package
directions. Give each child a paper cupcake liner, and three small
clumps of dough.
As the teacher explains the parts of the Trinity, have each of the
children roll their dough into three, one inch balls. Roll the
balls of dough into the cinnamon sugar and place them into the paper
liner. Bake according to the recipe or package directions.
When the muffins are finished baking, the "three balls of
dough become one".
For very young children (1-4 years), say, "God is three
in one. He is God the Father. Hold up one finger. He is God the
Son "Jesus". Hold up two fingers. He is God the
Spirit. Hold up three fingers.
For older children say, the Bible says:
God the Father: " In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word
was God. He was with God in the beginning." (John
1:1-2) Genesis 1:26 says, "Then God said, "Let us make man in
our image, in our likeness..."
God the Son: " The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us."
(John 1:14) Jesus answered,"... Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.
(John 14:9)
God the Spirit: And I (Jesus) will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-- the Spirit of truth... But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth.
(John 14:16-17, 16:13)
