Items needed:
Plastic spoons, or real spoons if you prefer
Hugs and Kisses candy
Tulle netting or cellophane wrap, (the kind used to wrap gift baskets)
Ribbon
Gift tag/card.
For Mother's Day - as a gift from the student to the parent.
Place Hugs and Kisses chocolates in the spoon on a square or a round of tulle or cellophane. Pull the tulle up around the handle of the spoon and tie with a ribbon.
Print a tag on you computer and cut out. The tag could have a Scripture such as Ephesians 6:1,
"'Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.' Happy Mother's Day with Hugs and Kisses from ________."
OR
Proverbs 31:28a "'Her children arise up, and call her blessed;' Happy Mother's Day with Hugs and Kisses from ________."
Attach the card/tag to the spoon with a ribbon.
Can also be used as...
A favor at a Mother's Day Banquet. Use a tag that says, "Happy Mother's Day with Hug and Kisses!"
From 'Name of Church'
A gift for the teacher use a tag that says, "A teacher cannot live on apples alone, you need Hugs and Kisses too." From:________
This could be done for birthdays, first time guests at your church, any holiday really.
Tips:
Use color coordinated tulle, ribbon, and spoons.
For Mother's Day, buy your Hugs and Kisses in pastel colors, usually on sale
after Easter.
